fantastic getaway

warm welcome helpful staff new carpet comfy bed
Tina gave me such a warm welcome! the staff definitely were pretty good. Their thoughtfulness and care were so appreciated! the new carpet in my room was awesome. i also loved the new bedding on the comfy bed.
the low-watt bulb and the dark lamp shade made my room a bit dark, even with all the lights on. this was a small issue.

The downstairs bar was lovely and service was great. It definitely was like a real british pub experience! i enjoyed the wide range of drinks, and it was easy to grab essentials like tea, coffee, and sugar.

dark room dirty carpet clogged fan
The shower worked adequately , which was acceptable.
I found the room REALLY dark even with all the lights on , thanks to low-watt bulbs and dark lampshades. The carpet could DEFINITELY use a good shampoo , considering the state it was in. The extractor fan in the bathroom seemed to be growing its OWN ecosystem of dust and fluff.

steel stairway strong smell
The access to the rooms involved navigating a dimly lit steel stairway at the building's rear. Upon reaching the upper floor. I was greeted by a potent smell of stale carpet. My room overlooked the front and was annoyingly lit by spotlights since the curtains did not fit properly. The noise from other guests in the corridor kept me awake. It reminded me of a cruel joke.
